A 5-year strategic plan for ENOX to reduce the emissions from diesel engines
Diesel exhaust is one of the most harmful air pollutant concern to public health. Studies revealed that diesel exhaust causes over seventy percent of cancer risk which originates from airborne pollutants. More specifically, diesel emissions make healthy people at high risks for developing respiratory complications. Similarly, diesel emissions may worsen the symptoms of other illnesses such as heart disease, asthma as well as lung disease. This paper will, therefore, outline some a 5-year strategic plan for ENOX to reduce diesel emissions.
Putting new technologies on the existing diesel engines will be one of the primary strategic plans to reduce diesel exhaust. ENOX should seek for using technologies and programs which are considered to be both easy to implement and cost effective. Such proposed technologies are installing pollution-reducing technologies like oxidation catalysts on the existing engines commonly referred to exhaust retrofitting (Ehsan et al., 2005).
