Task Analysis
Task analysis details the roles and structure of the Burghaton City Police Department. The report highlights only the topic ranks and mentions other departmental positions as “other personnel.” The structure is arranged in a manner to accommodate both community and city representatives to provide an inclusive docket.
Burghaton City Police Department will comprise the following:
The Police Chief will be the highest ranked personnel responsible for all operations of the unit. Other distinguished ranks will include commissioner, chief of staff and the departmental heads. The departments are Community Action and Informative Department, Terrorism Response Team, Management Department and Subordinate officers (Mayor of the city, police commissioner of the city, two stakeholder’s members).
As per the duties presented in the Need Analysis, Burghaton City Police Department task force is mandated with the responsibility to collect intelligence information, enlighten the public and tourism on how to report suspicious activities, provide control and coordination in the wake of a terrorist attack, and aide with the help of department in recovery efforts.
The duties are grouped into two subgroups namely: Community Action and Informative Department (CAID), and Terrorism Response Team (TRT).
Total employee population = 4000 personnel.
Community Action and Informative Department (CAID)

Under this docket, the team is tasked with the responsibility of creating media contents and organizing community events to educate the society on matters concerned with terrorism suspect identification and reporting. The department would also interrogate suspects and inquire intelligence information from the community about terrorism. Key personalities that will be investigated in the candidate vying for any of this department will be good communication skills.

On occasion of a terrorist attack, TRT will be a standing team to go to the ground and help in controlling and managing the situation. In case the attack is on a large scale it will work in hand with stakeholders to recover from the situation. Other than the department provided above management would be an oversight department that will deal with matters concerning budgeting and purchasing of tools for the department. The management will also incorporate a sub-unit of technicians in IT.
