Introduction
This paper will review the course content and will cover various theories of leadership. It will address any connection between leadership and inherited individual traits. It will also discuss leadership styles and how they apply to different situations and circumstances.
Transformation theory has been discussed as the most relevant to most businesses in the current society and various reasons have been advanced to support its relevance.
Is everyone cut out to be a leader?
Various theories have been put in place to explain the concept of leadership on whether an individual is born a leader or not. Trait theory postulates that certain inherited qualities such as personality and cognitive traits are what yield into an effective leader.

They engaged followers in most aspects of operation through effective communication channels they put in place as well incorporated the input of workers in decision making processes hence giving them a sense of ownership in the business process and operations, (chapter 12).
They created a connection with workers by enhancing their motivation and morality which translated into improved working relations.
They were also attentive to the needs and motives of workers under them in an attempt to help them realize their maximum potential. They were effective listeners of their followers and they gained trust and respect from their followers.
They nurture creativity in their followers by stimulating them and encouraging independent minds to grow by instilling the learning culture in their workers.
Role model in matters of ethics and morality, they were of high integrity and trust worthy to be emulated by their followers and society in general. Constant communication with followers further helped them understand the needs and concerns of work...
