The shift from rail to motor carriers is as interesting as it is weird. It is probably due to the fact that people saw it as a quicker method of cargo delivery, hence increased convenience. However, this doesn’t necessarily warrant the arrival of the cargo to its destination. The shift to motor carriers has in fact resulted to increased incidences of accidents.
