Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act Name: Institution: Date: UNIFORM COMPUTER INFORMATION TRANSACTIONS ACT The Act that is also abbreviated as UCITA is a suggested state law of contract that is developed for purpose of regulating transactions in the products that contain computer information. These products include online databases, computer software, e-books or software access contracts. This Act was drafted originally over a period of four year from the year one thousand nine hundred and ninety six to one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine. Each of the states in America was required to decide on passing it or not. There is a great discussion regarding the Act and its implementation. The UCITA law was designed in issue clarification that failed to be addressed by the Uniform Commercial Code that exists. This is because some people argued that the current law was ill suited to use in licensing as well as other elusive transactions.
