Back Translation
Back translation involves a process of comparing a translated document with the original copy. In this case, an independent translator translates the document back to its original language to check whether it maintains the intended message or information. Therefore, the purpose of such translation mainly lies in determining the document’s accuracy and quality in relation to the original (Barajin, 2016). The translator thus must analyze the document by correctly outlining and describing the meaning of the translated words. Once completed, the translator can then provide the back-translated copy with the potential issues together with a reconciliation document showing the resolving of the problems.
