Introduction
Every person has several issues at every stage of their life, both of which emerge from themselves or others or the environment. A person’s life is often full of storms with different difficult issues and genuine transformations. Adolescence is a developmental transition between infancy and maturity involving biological, cognitive, and socioemotional changes highlighted by obvious changes in bodily life. The frequent adolescent phenomenon that happens is the Korean Wave. The Korean wave is generally a fan of K-pop music that is naturally dominated mostly by young people. It indicates that teenagers require exemplary models to mimic those people. Idols are at the heart of changes in teenage behavior that meet the environmental requirements of those with the same idol. One of the psychological impacts of adolescent changes in the body is worrying about its body to build a body picture of its body.
Women aged 12-17 in America are 40%-70% less pleased with what they’re part of their bodies, and 50%-80% of teens desire smaller than before. However, some teenagers that have a negative body image use a rigorous diet to achieve the ideal body image. There are numerous additional methods that people might satisfy the body’s image by modifying their physical form. As with Nerissaputri’s (2019) research, a young person who participates in plastic surgery is the same as its idol. Adolescents try a lot to create an ideal, proportionate physical image and slim, one of the methods that diet and exercise generally accomplish.
In addition, it is the duty of teenagers, for example, to create their own physical life, to achieve the emotional independence of figures, to select individuals as models, and to enhance self-control. The study’s statement highlighted worries about the K-pop phenomenon, particularly among adolescents who typically have a poor bodily picture, as teenagers, particularly teenagers who are less happy with their physical condition. In other words, a negative image of one’s body is disappointment with some parts of his physical appearance, in which many components of his look are assessed adversely. In keeping with Cash’s (2020) words, adolescents are less happy with the body and have a more negative view of their bodies, especially teenagers. The phenomenon and certain statements are relevant, but not much study is still available on a corporal image with celebrity worship. It causes scientists to explore the link between human image and celebrity worship following certain claims and phenomena.
Given the influence of celebrities’ behavior and body pictures, these two behaviors negatively impact their growth to restrict the development of teenage girls’ potential. Celebrity worship behaviors and a negative body picture disturb young people in their emotional aspects. It is one of the duties of counselors and guiding teachers to prepare for adolescent counseling to have a positive body picture and advise adolescents who have the highest level of celebration. People who are happy with their physical condition belong to a positive biosphere (Cooley & Toray, 2019). The personal and psychological realms of students are celebration and body image. The professors of guidance and counseling are teachers from the schools who have to facilitate the psychological growth of the participants and in the personal development of the pupils. The aim is to offer guidance and advice to students who are convinced, fear God, are virtuous, smart, have knowledge and skills, have physical, spiritual, and stable, independent, and responsible character. Teachers are entrusted with guidance and assistance in helping students’ growth in an intellectual and professional capacity, in understanding their strengths and limitations, in a noble nature, in mental health, and excellent personality. Students are supposed to become people with academic understanding, emotional understanding, and spiritual understanding. Teenagers are frequently drawn to famous idols termed famous worship (Liu, 2017). A negative body image is a concern arising from this condition. The negative body image is also related to low self-esteem in body dysmorphic conditions, depression, social anxiety, and sexual function disturbance.
These elements you notice most often on the K-pop images provide the crowd a particular aesthetic appeal. Bizarre and daring, scary makeup with thick linen and vivid highlights and colorful hairstyles. However, all things are not sufficient to impress the public since the trend in the globe is inseparable from the present trend of mode. Their coordinated dance and high-performing pop music may have gone throughout the world. Still, the fashion industry, particularly in Asian markets, is also rattled by the influence of K-pop. Compared to the past, K-pop fashion has garnered much more attention since more people now like the sense of style and luxury products of the K-pop idols. The style of the Japanese Harajuku may be the largest competitor for K-pop, but true competition places itself in the world of K-pop among idols and even their admirers. K-pop mode has been the world’s focus and is typically taken up by young people. More sincerely, K-Pop was maybe the first of the 2NE1 girls in South Korea to introduce a singular style different from the normal style of adorable aegio.
Because of their uniqueness from other K-pop groups, they gain many followers. Since then, fashion has been the most significant K-pop aspect since an increasing number of K-pop idol groups have seen their idea turn into something more audacious, aggressive, and noble. All musicians have a signature style on stage, and only a handful can fully replicate their style. K-Pop idols nowadays are spotted in Givenchy, Balmain, Prada, Chrome Hearts, and 3.1 Phillip Lim. The current selection of fashion companies. Specifically, those who love mode, these fashion companies have garnered attention from K-pop fans.
