Broken Down Film (1985) by Osamu Tezuka is one of the great depictions of a cowboy, who attempts to rescue a damsel in distress, then woo. The cowboy seems to be an old-fashioned lonesome. He spots a damsel tied in thick ropes to a railroad track as she passes through a barren forest (Tezuka, 1985). The selfless hero attempts to rescue the distressed woman as the locomotive approaches. However, an utterly unpredictable and determined adversary blocks his efforts. The classical scene is blurred, smudged, and marred in the film since the film is old enough. For that reason, the hero has to fight the villain and struggle to overcome the bad condition of the film.
