Defining the Meaning of Arts
Initial Post Instructions
If art lacks a clear definition, what criteria are used to determine what a work of art is? Please look at several works on any museum website to discuss what constitutes "art." Some major museums include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, or National Gallery of Art, or consider finding a local museum. The permanent collection is normally under the Collections link, but feel free to explore the entire website for your selection.

Select an example of art that fits your definition of art and provide an example of non-art (either from the site or in the world around you).

Art
Art, also called visual art, a visual object or experience rationally made through an assertion of skill or imagination. The name art includes diverse media such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, decorative arts, photography, and installation (Augustyn, 2016). An art is hallowed, not through the individual purpose of the artist, but through its substance, symbolism, and fashion, that is, through objective elements. Art intends to accord people materials to design intellects and feelings.
Art has visual elements, including Line, Shape, Tone, Color, Pattern, Texture, and Form. They are the building lumps of composition in art. These elements are combined to create the overall outcome of the artwork.
Mona Lisa, oil on wood panel by Leonardo da Vinci, c. 1503–06; is probably the world's most illustrious painting in Louver, Paris. For instance, we can say that a casual advertisement is an example of non-art due to its purpose. It only intends to have curiosity, which will later be fulfilled. This ad might be created concerning several artistic aspects and practices.
Metropolitan Museum of Art, named The Met, is the widest and most comprehensive art museum in New York City and one of the leading in the world. The museum was incorporated in 1870 and opened two years later (Blumberg, 2016).
