Badminton Essay
1 Badminton is one of the most exciting indoor games mainly due to its few requirements and the fact that it is easy to play. It is a two-player game played using a shuttlecock and two lightweight rackets. The two players play side by side separated by a net that is used to score points based on where the shuttle cock falls. The badminton court is a rectangular court of a wideness of 13.4 meters in length and 5.2 meters’ wideness. The separation net is usually 1.5 meters’ high. Below are the five most important rules in the game of badminton:
* The player holding the shuttlecock is supposed to wait until the other player is ready before serving the shuttlecock. An opponent is seen to be ready for the commencement of the game if he or she attempts a return. This rule is aimed at ensuring the opponent does not get caught off guard by the starting player and that the game begins smoothly with undivided attention from both players.
* The second rule is that there is a 1.3-meter line separating the player from the net, and the feet of each player are supposed to remain stationary by not touching the line until the shuttlecock is served.
* It is not wring for the staring player to miss the shuttlecock while attempting to serve. In most games including football, a player gets penalized if he or she fails to deliver a throw in but this is not the case with badminton.
* The fourth rule is that a player is not supposed to catch the shuttlecock with the racket and then sling it, the shuttle must bounce off the racket.
* A player must not place their racket near the net as a defense against a fast falling shuttlecock from the opponent, this is a fault. https://web.mst.edu/~ima/rules/Badmintonrules.html

Colchester and EAST Essex are some of the federations that organize and govern badminton leagues in England. The leagues start off at high school level where the best teams from different schools compete. After high school, the best badminton players join the high school team and continue training and participating in inter-high school competitions under a professional coach. It is in college that the best players are selected to represent the country against other countries in regional and international games. South Korea is another country where badminton is a popular game. The country has also produced some of the most iconic badminton players such as Lee Yung Daye who has represented the country in Olympics. Badminton Korea Association is the chief governing body that oversees all badminton activities in the country. Like Britain, South Korea also has several badminton leagues ranging from high school leagues, college and international leagues for profess...
