Released in 2006, Dreamgirls is a romantic musical film by Bill Condon. The story of this Hollywood movie was inspired by the 1981 Broadway musical of the same name. A lot of artistic choices were made during production. For example, the musical’s story was the same, but changes were made when the hometown was moved from Chicago to Detroit. In addition, the roles of different characters were closely related to their real-life inspirations.
Various other choices were made to make the movie look better. The director reported that they had taken simple shots first and had tried to add a lot of colors to some of the scenes. Transitions and sound effects were added to Dreamgirls at a later stage. I ...
