This paper responds to three comments revolving around artists, including Kerry James Marshal, Louise Bourgeois, and Nikki S. Lee. Some people pursue artistry work for money and fame, while unique individuals like James endeavors to produce artwork that addresses a specific course. James noticed that the art display was predominantly white: this situation fueled a desire to become an artist who could bring change in bringing through creating artwork that could represent black culture. As a painter, Kerry James Marshall creates a modern picture of black communities by bringing black figures into museums though passion and desire for change. For instance, Kerry James Marshall, Untitled (Policeman), of 2015, brings the relevance and intricacies surrounding the observation that a white police officer has tendencies to oppress black men (Douglas, 2016).
