In that light, when used they affect an individual’s mood, behavior, and mind (Begun, 2019). Second, the commonly used psychoactive substances are sedatives, cannabis, alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. Third, harm reduction policies should be implemented to alleviate risky behaviors among individuals who use psychoactive substances.
