National security has become one of the primary concerns and areas of priority in the United States. Today, the United States has continued to lay out more strategic approaches to address internal and external threats affiliated with National Security. According to Congressional Research Service (2021, 9), military prowess and the ability to keep citizens and properties safe is among the major security aspects that make the United States a superpower. However, Locher observed significant gaps and weaknesses in the national security system and immediate recommendation reforms. According to Congressional Research Service (2021, 5), the misalignment between the protocols of the national security system and the associated agencies is among the key threats to the stability of the national security structures.
