NOTECARD 1, Introduction: Your introduction card should introduce your audience to the community group being studied. Remember, it should be a group in which membership is voluntary and recreational.
In particular, be sure to answer the following questions:
* What is the community group?
* What are the attributes or characteristics of this community group? (e.g., What activities does this group do together? What element of the members' interests or identities brings them together? How is membership in the group defined, if at all?)
* Is there anything else listeners should know about this group that is relevant for your research proposal?
* Name and description of your community group.
This co-ed, non-competitive soccer group is a leisure sport-based community organization. It allows members of all ages and ethnicities to connect over their shared love of soccer. Membership is voluntary and available to anyone who wishes to participate. The organization is supported by membership dues and contributions and is dedicated to providing a secure and inviting atmosphere. It is also concerned with fostering a pleasing and welcoming environment for its members. This group has been an excellent venue to meet new people, play soccer, and learn more about the game.
NOTECARD 2, Research Question:
* State your research question.
How does having a diverse group of individuals impact collaboration within a recreational sport-based community organization?

Grossman, Johns, and McDonald published the above article in 2014. These academicians are associated with the publication of Social Inclusion and focus on teenage resilience. Their paper focused on how sport-based youth mentoring programs build strength against violent extremism. The authors used qualitative interviews and focus groups to investigate their topic. They concluded that sport-based youth mentoring schemes could help develop resilience against violent extremism. These findings relate to my research proposal because they suggest that different groups can cooperate when participating in recreational sports-based community groups.

Brian C. Green wrote the article above and released it in the book Management of Sports Development in 2008. Green is a University of Alberta professor studying how sports affect societal and personal transformation. The study aimed to discover how sports can encourage good change in people and organizations. Qualitative interviews with athletes, trainers, and managers were among the techniques employed. According to the researcher, games can encourage cooperation, collaboration among different groups, and respect for variety. The study's findings are relevant to my research plan. For instance, they indicate that diversity can improve collaboration between recreational sport-based community group members.
