1 Describe two primary distinguishing ethical principles or rules observed by Christians.
Christians practice the ethic of love, which is the Golden Rule, 'When you did it to the least of my brethren, you did it unto me' (Matthew 7:12). This principle focuses on more giving, humane, and forgiving actions. Another principle is justice, which comprises equal treatment of other people, being honest, and dealing with morality. God expects Christians to establish justice, uphold the rights of the innocent, and render their decisions righteously as He is righteous. These provide direction in the conduct of the Christian community members (McGrath, 2017).
2 Describe the founder of Christianity. If there is no founder, describe how the religion originated.
Christianity started with Jesus Christ, and people refer to him as Christ, the founder of Christianity. Jesus is known to have been born in Bethlehem in about 4 B. C. He grew up in Nazareth. Christians widely accept him as the son of God and the Christ or the anointed one, as foretold in the Old Testament. Baptisms, healings, death by crucifixion, and resurrection are well-named to form the pillar of the Christian faith. The people who followed Jesus were called disciples, and after his death, they propagated his teachings, ending with the formation of Christian groups. It started proliferating after the apostle Paul started evangelizing to the Gentiles, meaning it was no longer just a Jewish faith (Gorman, 2018).
