I am a Judicial Activist-Loose Constructionist. I do not believe in absolute truths or final interpretations. I am always open to new ideas and perceptions which shape my decisions. In law, for example, there should never be absolutes because there can always be a new perspective to a story. A case like the Marbury vs. Madison case in 1803 is a good example of how the interpretation of the constitution should be. In this particular case, the Supreme Court led by John Marshall the then Chief Justice, set a precedence that the Supreme Court could indeed limit Congressional power and term particular legislation unconstitutional. This was new and unexpected but set a precedence that shapes the judiciary to this day. So, like in this case, legal interpretations can and should be guided by factors outside the Constitution like scientific findings as well as political circumstances.
