The critical key to understanding what is morally acceptable and not in societies has been that different cultures have different codes. People's practices are different and are based on what their forefathers practiced and left behind to be passed from one generation to another. Although cultures are viewed differently, cultural relativism has not been fully realized and still faces many challenges.
