There are positive and negative implications type of health service regarding universal and only legal citizens in a given geographical location. Notably, one of the benefits of a universal health service is that it limits resource competition, such as in the insurance industry. In this case, the insurance services are channeled to a specific entity responsible for all the transactions, leading to stable compensation and treatment prices. However, its disadvantage is that people may be unconcerned about their health since they are certain they will get treatment without paying an extra cost if they get sick. This scenario is because universal health gives individuals little incentive to stay healthy. Besides, the advantage of health services to only legal citizens is that it is more flexible, and medical experts can solve individual health problems more effectively. Conversely, the disadvantage is that it may encourage discrimination between classes, races, and geography since only the citizens and the wealthy may benefit most than the rest. Overall, each aspect has its repercussions depending on the affected group.
