Although Joe’s budget is amazing, two recommendations would help achieve a balanced budget. First, Joe needs to replace his old car to avoid the occasional breakdowns and repairs that take an average of $50 a month. Joe spends an average of $600 per year on car repairs which can be used to do other activities. Hence, doing away with the old car is the first step to achieving a balanced budget.
