When it comes to mainstream cinema, scopophilia involves perceiving individuals as objects and subjecting them to societal analysis of how their physical appearance brings pleasure (Mulvey 59). Films develop scopophilia in a narcissistic aspect without failing to satisfy their pleasurable looking.
