Proteins
Energy Production
Proteins are regarded as the essential building units in the body. Also, they are known to play a significant role in resistance and aerobic training. During exercises, the body demands more protein in form of amino acid, which are mostly made of carbon and hydrogen that are oxidized or recycled to form energy (Eberle 15).
Performance
Protein instils endurance during excesses since another basic function of the amino acid is provide materials for body tissue and repair (Eberle 17). Therefore, during exercises, the damaged tissues in muscles are constantly repaired from day-to day training, and hence improving performance in trainers.
Recommended and Non-Recommended Types of Proteins
An ideal source of protein is a meal then ones that constitute all the essential amino acids. Such types of meal are found in animal proteins (Eberle 23). The source of protein from animals include, red meat, fish, milks, eggs and other poultry products.
The plant sources are not recommended because they are incomplete proteins, which require new extra pairing to generate the nine essential amino acids (Eberle 23). These plants product include, legumes, nuts, pulse and wholegrains.
Carbohydrates
Energy Production
Carbohydrates are the major source of energy since they are easily converted to glucose, which the body uses to generate energy (Eberle 29). Many cells prefer glucose as a source of energy as they can be broken down readily to capture energy to perform cellular respiration.
Performance
During an exercise, the body cells automatically resort to the carbohydrates stored in the muscles and liver to sustain the need of energy, hence improving performance (Usman and Davidson 12). Similarly, Roles of Carbohydrates are essential for optimum functioning of the brain and this instil endurance during training as well.
