1. Canada has experienced issues with its International trade with one our biggest trading partners – China, following our arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. Using current sources:

1. Briefly summarize the history of the issue
2. What have been the impacts on Canada – be specific.  This is where I expect to see you applying concepts from our course.  Which aspects from our course have been impacted? 
3. Where does the situation stand right now? (right now means that you are using a source from late November –early December).

1. As of this writing Canada is currently trying to figure out some of the key issues around obtaining a COVID vaccine for Canadians – a truly Global product if there ever was one. 

Obtaining vaccines has revealed a number of key topic areas discussed in the course: the role of government, product sourcing, market entry and expansion, distribution even legal issues around patents and licensing, to name a few.

Some people have praised the actions of our government, others have been very critical, saying that the Canadian government has not acted effectively with regard to the Vaccines.

Present the issues Canada is facing right now associated with obtaining vaccines:

2. What are the critical concepts from our course which are relevant to the situation?
