Dear Chair and Respected Members, Your Excellencies, it is a great privilege to say a few words on behalf of Kenya regarding the expansion of permanent memberships in the United Nations Security Council. The Security Council was established in 1945 and reflects the relations of forces characteristic of that post-World War II period. But the world is significantly different now.
