The key argument that Sen (2017) posits in his article, Ethics and the Foundation of Global Justice, is that demand for justice should have universal relevance. That is, Sen argues that justice cannot be achieved unless a connection between local and global clamor for justice is acknowledged and pursued. While Sen (2017) is highly dismissive of the traditional theories of justice that are based on the concept of social contract, he regards Rawls view that justice is fairness credible and finds utility in Rawls view on objectivity and public reasoning.
