Create a resource for other early childhood educators on the topic of social-emotional development in young children. Choose one of the following deliverables to complete this assignment:

Create an introduction for your deliverable of choice that discusses the importance of social-emotional development in early childhood and include the following in the deliverable:

Introduction
Social-emotional development is how young children learn about themselves and others' feelings, get along with others, and adapt to the social world. These become critical skills that will help them later in life form solid relationships, perform well in school, and better navigate life's ups and downs. The better the social-emotional skills, the better the behavior, the better they will learn, and the happier they will be. Early childhood educators can use this handout to understand these essential skills and how to support children's development. By understanding normal development, educators can effectively assist children in overcoming developmental delays or obstacles, fostering their growth into well-adjusted, successful individuals.
Age-appropriate social-emotional skills (3–4 years)
Emotional development is critical between the ages of 3 and 4. During this stage, children can identify and correctly name their and other people's emotions, such as happy, sad, or angry. Empathy arises when they consider others' feelings and reassure a friend who has been upset. Sharing and turn-taking are natural in people's interactions and help prevent conflicts, specifically when they share toys with their peers. Simple problem-solving entails using verbal strategies to meet requirements and settle disputes rather than acting physically. Accordingly, various studies show that play-based techniques such as role-play and physical activities increase these skills and provide children with playful learning experiences for developing social and emotional skills (Dias Rodrigues et al., 2022).

Early childhood adversity provides critical clues to warning signs of atypical development.
