JFACC and the COMAFFOR are valuable entities in the United States (US) contributing to air operations and defense. Most importantly, these bodies perform unique functions as part of the air force. JFACC and COMAFFOR staff have distinctive similarities and differences in their US air defense and operations roles.
First and foremost, the two staff perform different roles that the COMAFFOR is an Air Force commander having ten support and administration roles originating from Administrative Control (ADCON). These responsibilities include service forces organization, unit training, mobilization and disbandment, resource and equipment control, personnel control, readiness, logistics, and discipline (Lemay Center 2020, 9).
