As we progress into the future, technology continues to make big leaps through the integration of various small scale software that will, in the near future, revolutionize the world of computing as we know it. The Internet Roadmap during a discussion identified four areas of emphasis. They include, life logging, augmented reality, virtual worlds, and mirror worlds. Of the four areas, the most predominant area today is lifelogging. In simple terms lifelogging refers to the capturing of a large part of a user’s life by the use of technology. Such technology include cameras like webcams, wearable computers, and other data surveillance equipment.
The reason lifelogging is the most dominant technology among the four in question is that, there are several software that exist specifically for lifelogging that keep track of locations and other information in real time.
