According to Zerbe, "because we have not shown statistics to be the rhetorical constructs that they are, we and our students suffer." This is true in the academic and professional fields. This is a statement that brings out one of the main issues surrounding getting research to have the impact that it is intended. For most of the researchers, they are used to the professional jargon along with the statistical tools that are used in the development of a research paper. Relative to the standards that most of the researchers have set out, most of the research tends to use much of the jargon that it does, reader-friendly language.
