Different people have varied opinions and ideas. Thinking of the former U.S president's approach on the signing of America into the League of Nations in 1919, I tend to feel that was fighting a losing battle. He was determined to have his country joining the league, but his fellow leaders never got his back. The Chairman of the Senate, Henry Cabot, was firmly against his idea.
