Instead of human effort as the starting point of mission, the starting point of mission is the redemptive work of God in the world and his willingness to bring back creation. God calls upon the believers to share his purposes by loving him, loving others, and relying on their gifts to make a significant difference. Missional purpose is the product of the character of God and his constant effort to restore what sin has destroyed. The people are involved in the mission of God reflecting Christ, serving others, and participating in the work of God, generating renewal in their daily lives as people experience salvation and transformation.
