1 Absolute Threshold-I love charging my power bank during the daytime because it does not produce a buzzing sound. When I place it to charge at night, I can hear a buzz that disturbs my sleep and cannot resist but instead unplug it. According to Grisson and Gazzaniga, the absolute threshold to hear clock ticks is about 20 feet in a quiet environment. My power bank's buzzing fits the absolute point and minimum stimuli necessary for me to detect the sound.
2 Difference Threshold- Whenever my brother and I watch movies in our living room, we often listen to it loudly until my Dad complains about it. He asks us to put it down, or we'll go deaf. When I lower the volume by ten dots, my Dad thinks it is still too much and did not reduce it. In this case, our difference threshold is distinct from my Dad's threshold because we detect different volumes.

When we came out of the theatre hall, our eyes had to readjust to the light as I had to adjust to the theater's darkness. I noticed that it consumed more time to adjust to the light than night, and thus, the example is a perfect description of dark and light adaptation (Grison, Heatherton, & Gazzaniga, 2017). . The pupils dilate when I entered the theatre and constricted when we came out due to increased light intensity.
