The following is a discussion of steps that should be used to identify the stakeholders that are most relevant to organizational practice. The first step should be identifying the stakeholders directly affected/impacted by the organization. Each organization is unique in terms of the services that it offers. Consequently, different organizations are going to impact different categories of individuals. The best place to start identifying the stakeholders who are most relevant to the organization is identifying individuals, parties, or groups of people that are directly affected by the activities/ services of the organization.
