Overview
Much of the leadership research for the past 100 years has focused on TRAITS. Yet, one my have the trait and do NOTHING with it. Ultimately it is the actions of the leader; what they do that demonstrates leadership ( At least that is what I think). For example if Mandela and Gandhi had not been steadfast ( which revealed their traits of determination), how would we know" I think traits are static in a way. It is not until a leader is charming that we identify the "charisma". What comes first the trait or the behavior? I don't know, does it matter; clearly they are linked.
And what is great about Leadership Skills is they can be developed! We can learn, hone and over time excel in them. The graphic below identifies the three broad leadership skill categories with specific skills under each . Northouse and Katz use different terms:

1. Leadership Skills Categories
Divya depicted two primary leadership skills categories, namely interpersonal and conceptual skills. In particular, interpersonal leadership skills entail abilities to help superiors, followers, and peers to meet set objectives. These leadership skills involve managing human conflicts, being emotionally intelligent, and being socially perceptive (Northhouse, 2021, p. 104). Social perceptiveness entails being aware of the things that are crucial to others, the problems they encounter, reactions to change, and how to motivate them. When it comes to emotion intelligence, involves an individual’s understanding of their emotions and that of others. Additionally, Divya revealed conceptual skills, which include working with ideas and concepts to improve things, including coming up with a strategic organizational plan. This leadership skill enhances problem-solving, which is the leader’s cognitive ability to address issues that might arise, hindering achieving the desired goals and objectives (Northhouse, 2021, p. 109). Divya was also good at creating a vision since she knew where she was and where she wanted to be in the future. Moreover, Divya displayed skills in strategic planning since she appeared to be careful when using the available resources to meet her goals.
