1 Leadership Challenge
My leadership challenge is to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork among the members of our organization to improve productivity. The organization is made up of members from various disciplines including financial technology (Fintech), accounts, information technology, risk management, and planning. Our department is particularly experiencing a lack of interdisciplinary collaboration, communication, and teamwork which has adversely affected productivity leading to lower profits in the last financial year. My goal as a leader is to improve interdisciplinary collaboration among employees working under my supervision through training and development and application of a strategic servant leadership approach to enhance employee productivity, increase profits and the number of clients in our organization within the next 8 months. Research shows that interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork significantly trustworthiness, dependability, engagement credibility,and productivity among employees (Hazrati et al., 2021).Inter-professional collaboration and teamwork culture are important to me because I believe that collective participation will propel our organization to success.
2 Roadblocks and Challenges
I am likely to face a multitude of challenges and barriers to interdisciplinary collaboration. The challenges and blockades to achieving inter-professional collaboration and teamwork among our employees maybe at an organization or team level. Organizational barriers include financial and regulatory constraints and a lack of resources to train and develop our employees. A lack of appreciation and knowledge about the complementary roles of other professionals may also hinder collaboration among employees. Another barrier to achieving interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork isthe ambiguity in employee and leadership roles in the organization.Our organization does not have role boundaries at present. In some cases,the roles of various professionals overlap due to a lack of clearly defined boundaries. Besides, the organization has a hierarchical administrative structure that discourages interdisciplinary collaboration. Professionals do not have a suitable strategy for the timely exchange of useful information.
I plan to overcome the blockades to inter-professional collaboration in our organization by establishing an effective communication system that allows the timely exchange of information among team members. I encourage the employees to develop trust among each other commit to a common goal of interdisciplinary collaboration.It is also important to establish a positive towards one’s profession and concurrently acknowledge and appreciate the role, knowledge, and skills of other professionals in the team (Ward et al., 2018). I will ensure that all professionals in my team have positive regard for their roles in the organization and appreciate other people to achieve organizational success.I also plan to establish an effective strategy for resolving conflicts and settling disagreements among our team members. I will also encourage professionals to be willing to continuously work on themselves to overcome the barriers to inter-professional collaboration.
3 Leadership Behavior, Skills, and Risks
Leadership skills and behavior profoundly impact the success of every organization (Rigii, 2017). As a leader I need strong communication and interpersonal skills which are essential in engaging employees, sharing information, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. I also need to develop effective critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills which would enable me to face the challenges encountered at the workplace. The leadership behaviors that I would like to embrace leadership behaviors that include humility and willingness to listen to employees and provide meaningful feedback, optimism, and trustworthiness. Leaders are also expected to promote integrity and accountability.
The risk I would like to take is to subordinate my interests at workplace and focus on developing our employees and team building. Leaders with effective team building are likely two create strong and long-lasting relationships among employees and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. I also intend to trust the members of interdisciplinary in our information technology department.
4 Sources of Motivation
I am intrinsically motivated to improve inter-professional collaboration. Intrinsically motivated leaders are likely to inspire their employees to develop a common purpose (Shafi et al., 2018). I want to utilize inspirational motivation to encourage my team members to embrace teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. I am also motivated by the need to experience increased productivity among our employees. The rewards of increased productivity and organizational success are also massive, for instance, increased profits for our organization, and promotions and professional development for the members of our team.

Manager profoundly impacts my challenge they supervise employees and provide resources necessary for training and development of employees to embrace an inter-professional approach.
The primary role of managers is to coordinate the activities of the organization. Managers are motivated by the need to increase productivity and overall organization

Shareholders are the owners of the organization and they influence organization culture based on their mission and vision. My challenge has to be congruent with the needs of the owners.
Shareholders have to control the organization through their policies. They are primarily interested in service provision and the profitability of the organization (Javange, 2019).

They are external stakeholders who influence my challenge because of the need for high-quality products. A leader should ensure that interprofessional collaboration within the organization without compromising the quality of the products offered by our organization.
