The advancement in technology is touching all fields of research. GIS technology has boosted the research field like never before. It has various features which has ease the way data is collected, managed and analyzed. GIS presents data in 3 dimensions. The 3D presentation of data enables the researchers to draw more accurate interpretation and thus reliable conclusions (Backholm, Luna, & Kokhanovskyi, 2017). The 3D representation of data is obtained by integrating various types of data and organizes into layers of information. Additionally, the data obtained are also visualized into maps. Notably, the maps represented by GIS are able to communicate a lot of information surrounding the feature hence guide in making smarter decisions. Moreover, GIS works everywhere. It can be installed in all devices such as mobile phones, tablets and even desktop.
