Federal Judiciary After gaining independence, the Article of Confederation, the nation’s first constitution provided the thirteen states with their judicial system, with no superior court ruling over them. The 3rd Article of the Constitution created the federal judiciary. It is made up of the district courts, circuit courts, and the supreme court. Future of America Hamilton envisioned a country free of financial debt with a growing and stable economy (Robert, 2008). Jefferson foresaw the United States as an agricultural revolutionary with farmers owning their land, proper local education system, and a decentralized government. Madison plan for the future was liberation and freedom for citizens of the United States, guided by the Constitution (John, 2001) The debt issue During the American Revolution, the government had no power to impose taxes. These resulted in borrowing money from citizens and foreign powers to finance the wars. As a result, the country incurred huge debts. When Hamilton was appointed the secretary of the treasury, he drafted specific ideas on how to settle the debt. The first plan of action was to make the federal government take full responsibility for all war loans and refund all of them.
