Academic integrity entails being accountable for one’s learning by remaining honest when engaging in various activities at school. Grand Canyon University (GCU) emphasizes academic integrity since it is the only way that students can acquire relevant knowledge and skills to apply in their future careers. GCU prohibits academic dishonesty and requires all students to uphold high code of conduct standards and personal integrity (Grand Canyon University, 2017). In that light, students should refrain from all acts of deception. Those who violate the academic integrity policy can be suspended or their courses terminated. For example, learners are expected to handle their assignments and tests without cheating. That is the only way that educators at GCU can know when students need assistance since the outcomes obtained will be genuine. For those with scholarships, academic integrity requires them to follow the given guidelines ethically. Honesty and hard work are the primary aspects of GCU’s academic integrity.
Specifically, schools must uphold academic integrity to facilitate an effective learning process.
