Question Two: Quantity of Heat
Calculating the quantity of heat takes the following formula (Ippex.pppl.gov, 2011)
Q=Cm∆TWhere C= 4.18
NOTE: C is the amount of heat required to heat up 1g of water by 1°C it is known as the specific heat capacity of water.
In addition, the amount of time is found by taking the total amount of heat required and dividing to know how much time it took to gain that amount of heat to achieve the final temperature of the water being heated.
