Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD)
An ER diagram manifests the connection among entity sets. An entity is an object or element of data. An entity is portrayed as a rectangle in an ER diagram. In terms of DBMS, an entity is a table or quality of a table in the database, so by illustrating the relationship among tables and their attributes, ER diagram shows the entire logical structure of a database (Singh, 2016).
