Columbus’s diary held a unique perception of the new world of America. The region was inhabited by people who were friendly and very much willing to engage the Europeans that explored the region. The people were quick to learn and despite the language barrier, some form of communication was possible through illustrations and gestures. Therefore, just the discovery of the new lands, Columbus helped shape the future of the newly discovered lands.
Columbus was quick to suggest some positive developments that be introduced to the region.
