Topic 1-Week 1: 1/14-1/20/21
Overall Practicum Goal: What do you want to accomplish during this practicum course? Keep this statement broad enough to cover everything that you would like to do during your practicum course. You may choose to focus on a specific aspect of nursing education or may choose to sample a variety of nursing education experiences within your selected practicum experience.



Learning Objectives:
My goals are to learn all the role and responsibilities of an educator in nursing. Some of the goals include;
* Lab-learn coordination of simulation will enable improve clinical skills
* Assist students and faculty with scenarios. It helps students gain confidence as they pursue a learning career. It will also enhance nursing skills.
* Clinical rotation- assist clinical facility. It is an important program that focuses on improving nursing skills and networking.
* Supervise students in clinical rotation. The objective will help ensure every student stick to the learning objectives and also improve their communication skills through debates
* Didactic/lecture-present and develop lesson plans.
* Attend faculty and committee meetings. Faculty meetings help leadership skills, which are essential in a nursing career.
* Five-year plan on clinical transition as an educator
* Ise the bloom taxonomy to improve thinking and understanding

Resources and Strategies:
* Teaching self-efficacy
Self-efficacy is an essential strategy that I will apply in the practicum course. It entails improving one’s skills and confidence to help others understand your concepts.
* Data analysis.
Data analysis is an important resource that helps an educator present factual information to committees and the students. I believe this tool will shape my skills adequately.
* Organizing structural materials
It is critical to organize learning materials since it enhances efficient and understanding. It also helps identify the most challenging scenarios in a health facility.
* Transforming the learning procedure.
Learning process requires full transformation because the degree of understanding concepts varies amongst learners. Notably, practicum course requires full transformation to realize the intended objectives.

Measurement:
* Self-evaluation
Self-evaluation is an important entity in learning because it determines the level of understanding. It will also help measure accomplishments throughout learning. For example, did I assist all students as defined by the course? Did I follow the NEPD protocol?
These are the primary factors that will enable determine the success of my objectives.
* Blooms taxonomy
Recall all the objectives and strategies applied on the NEPDA practicum course. Additionally, it is also important to execute, plan and implement the objectives. This is a tremendous process to measure the accomplishment of the learning objective.
* Discussion forums
Discussion forums help identify weaknesses and strengths in learning, thus, it will help understand the overall progress on all the objectives.

Attainable:
All the objectives set here are attainable since I have vast experience in nursing. Furthermore, I have passion and commitment to excel in the nursing field. Some of these objectives are challenging but they give an opportunity to grasp important skills in NEPD.
The attainability is also determined by strategies set and I believe my strategies are effective and goal oriented.
Additionally, all the goals are relevant tot eh course. It makes much easier attain them because the fall under nursing discipline.

Time, items of research/course outline from preceptor, access to the internet. Class schedule, including clinical rotation.
