Chronic diseases are commonplace of late. The problem comes when Physician administers drugs to the patients suffering from chronic illness. After a prescription is made, there arise formed opinions that work to influence the patients to violate the order. In this study, these challenges are going to be discussed and to weigh whether the ideology and myths put across are valid or not.
Patients suffering from various chronic diseases are the most vulnerable. These patients are prone of violating medication prescribed to them. Drug abuse becomes the norm. They fear to be under medication for a long period as the chronic disease treatment requires. Consequently, they do not take the full dose as recommended by the physician. Due to this move, chronic illness persists. In fact, the virus even grows to become resistant to the drug. The lifestyle of such patients is worsened(Smith et al., 2013).
