Learning needs assessment
A needs assessment is a systematic approach to gathering information about students or an organization. The information obtained is sufficient to develop an effective teaching program that addresses all the student needs and gaps (Pilcher & Jobeth, 2016). Nursing student needs assessment includes skill tests, objective knowledge, interviewing, and use of questionnaires, observation, revalidation, and peer reviews. The data collected can then be interpreted to ensure the gap is identified and that students receive the best training for their future professions. To explain this further, this paper gives a procedure with which a needs assessment is efficient from the questions, then analysis of the results. It elaborates on what to do, depending on the answers received on evaluation of the needs.
