Statistically significant evidence enables individuals to explore the differences between sampled groups quantitatively. In particular, it hypothesizes whether particular results occur due to chance or not. A specific data set shows statistical significance if the p-value is small, which means that the data is not explainable by chance entirely. As such, the data is deemed to be inconsistent with the null hypothesis. Statistically significant evidence has a p-value of 0.05 and below, which suggest a real quantitative difference (Ranganathan, Pramesh, & Buyse, 2015). Statistically significant evidence findings are critical to advancing an evidence-based project. Indeed, it is highly dependent on the sample size. For instance, in a large population sample size, a small effect on treatment can appear as statistically significant. Statistically significant outcomes imply a difference or relationship between variables, which is not caused by chance or normal variation.
