Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is:
To apply a change process using the ACE Star Model of Knowledge Transformation and a systematic review after identifying a clinical topic of concern and related nursing practice issue.
The information from the 'Illustration' part of our lessons in Weeks 1-6 will mentor you through this process. Your change process is to be set up as a pilot project.

Identify a clinical topic and related nursing practice issue you think needs to be changed.
Locate a systematic review on your topic from the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews located in the Chamberlain Library. Be sure this involves nursing actions.
Work through each step of the ACE Star Model as outlined on the assignment form (Star Points 1-5: Discovery, Summary, Translation, Implementation, and Evaluation). Respond to the instructions provided on the form.
Follow the activities and thinking of Nurse Daniel in Weeks 1-6 in the 'Illustration' part of each lesson. He will be working through a clinical topic and nursing practice issue to demonstrate a change (ACE Star Model and systematic review).
Work on a portion of the process each week, as the illustration unfolds.
Please reach out to your instructor for feedback or assistance with your PICOT question as needed.
Required and Additional Background Reading in Weeks 1 and 2 under Readings is available for more information on the ACE Star Model and the use of systematic reviews.

Quality Initiatives and patients outcomes
Change is very important especially when it comes to the manner in which nurses deliver their work. Health care means changes therefore changes are needed when it comes to services delivery through the use of technology to improve the expectations if the patients.
Briefly describe your rationale for your topic selection. Include the scope of the issue/problem.
Nurses are the direct caregivers for many patients in the health institutions. Nurses play a vital role when it comes to improving the outcomes of patients and the quality of services delivery. When there are limited resources at the hospitals, nurses will lack the ability of meeting the expectations if the institutions that is to deliver quality services. Lack of adequate resources and appropriate policies undermine the ability of nurses to deliver quality services to the patients.

Describe the practice problem in your own words and formulate your PICOT question.
Some of the health institutions lack enough equipment’s to deliver quality services to the customers. Nurses also work in poor environments and this has reduces the expectations of the patients. Mortality rates has increased in some health care institutions as a result.

The source states that Nursing informatics which are the specialties that integrates nursing practices with multiple data and analytical sciences is used to define some of the nursing practices. Technology is very important for clinical officers especially nurses and other health care informatics. For examples electronic health records can be used to improve the quality of services that nurses provide to the patients.

Some of the main concerns on these finding are how the delivery of quality servicer by the nurses can improve the satisfaction of patients. The reading also states that nursing informatics gives nurses some learning experts on how important it is to improve their services. The readings also illustrates that the six week self-paced programs comprises of a combination of online education and webinars. The findings also emphasize on areas that need improvement and changes is the manner in which nurses deliver their services to the patients. Some health care organizations lack enough equipment’s which are vital in treating some diseases and this has become a challenge. Nurses are supposed to be vast with technology because the society is changing rapidly.

Nurses are supposed to be comfortable with technology and they should be able to acknowledge some of the ways they can incorporate technology and data into care so that there will be better outcomes for the clinicians and patients as well. They should be trained in software programs because these are some of the experiences that will assist them in the field of Nursing Informatics.
Nurses should also be trained on gerontology and aging patients care because there is a greater increase fir health services especially for the elderly. Currently nurses are able to use evidence based protocols which have improved the outcomes of patients as a result of rapid responses to adjusting psychological parameters.
