Program Evaluation Questions
The Healthy Eating/Active Communities program aims to establish a community where individuals with obesity can access safe and effective therapy. To this end, the program will involve adjustment of school lunch programs and the implementation of an obesity prevention strategy. In the short term, the program seeks to reduce the percentage of overweight students in schools. In the long term, the program will reduce obesity and the various health inequalities associated with obesity. The following paper discusses the implementation questions that shall be used to evaluate the Healthy Eating/Active Communities and the various methods that shall be used to answer the evaluation questions.
Areas of Focus
Notably, the evaluation questions shall focus on four key areas. First, the evaluation questions will focus on evaluating the planning and implementing issues of the program. To this end, the main concern of evaluation shall be determining the soundness of the program’s plan and implementation. There will be three questions as shown in Table 1. Second, the evaluation questions will focus on assessing the extent to which the program attained objectives (CDC, 2022). To this end, three questions shall be used to determine how the program has achieved the set objectives (Table 1).
The third evaluation question will center on determining the effects of the program on the participants. Two questions will be used to gather data to assess the impact of the Healthy Eating/Active Communities program on the intended audience (CDC, 2009). The final evaluation questions will aim to determine the program's impact on the community (Mertens & Wilson, 2018). Two questions will be used to collect the data required to evaluate the focus area (Table 1).
