Understanding the relationship between childhood education and trauma is important for any educator. It allows him to have a better understanding of the strategies that are effective in enriching the educational experience of the student to maximize his potential and growth. In this article, the author would initially focus on the effects of bereavement trauma on the secure bonding between the child and the caregiver. This includes the different symptoms that any caregiver should notice to reduce the effects of these instances. Subsequently, the author would also discuss the studies of Harry Harlow and Mary Ainsworth concerning how they can be relevant these days. All in all, the author believes that a deeper understanding of the symptoms of trauma is important to prevent any long-lasting effects on the part of the child.
Bereavement Trauma
Bereavement trauma brought about by loss creates a negative effect on the child’s psychological, social, and emotional connections in life. Specifically, because of the lost bond between the parent and the child, establishing trust and security might be one of the most difficult aspects of teaching and caring for him. Accordingly, the success of this process could improve based on the fulfillment of certain needs depending on the child’s social and external circumstances.
