I previously worked as an attaché waitress in a hotel. I currently work as a waitress at Huddle House. This is a hotel that therefore falls into the category of hospitality or service industry. My roles as a waitress are quite typical; receiving guests, making them feel comfortable, taking orders from them, advising them on the available dishes if they need more information, serving the guests with the meals and finally, clearing up the tables once they are done. Generally, my goal is to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction. My ideal workplace would be one where there is proper coordination and synergy between all the members of staff. This is highlighted by great communication and ease of delegation; in such a way that everyone is ready to do any duties when and where need arises. There are instances where colleagues fail to offer a helping hand due to the belief that it is not part of their job description. In the hospitality industry however, shared responsibility is a main highlight of an ideal workplace.
