The world is plagued by a pandemic that has come with economic consequences. Businesses are scaling down and many people are losing jobs. For graduates, these are trying times, especially those seek employment. To succeed in job hunting, a graduates must be aggressive and competitive if they are to get job opportunities with established companies. Senior Year Career Checklist by the institution’s Economics Career Services (ECS) provides graduates with proven steps that can enable them to secure full-time employment. At base, students should commit to research the job opportunities, connect with employers, apply for the jobs, and plan for several options.
As an economics student minoring in Business, I have taken the required steps needed to successfully get a job opportunity. And the experience has been overwhelming and thrilling at the same time. I have sought advice from corporate institutions, peers, faculty, attended several workshops and panels organized by ECS professionals, and updated my LinkedIn profile. These efforts have boosted my confidence and given me hope in pursuing the employment path.
